01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At patissier Cadeaux, part of the pleasure of buying macarons is choosing which flavours to try. Alongside coconut, raspberry and plain chocolate, one customer tried the less usual zunda flavour. Seasonal options also appear: another visitor recalled pumpkin and ghost-shaped macarons around Halloween, as well as Japanese chestnut and mandarin flavours.
One customer who had not usually liked macarons found them “light and fluffy, and easy to eat”; another remembered their crisp outer shell. Customers enjoy picking a few flavours for themselves, and one person who brought them as a gift said the recipient was pleased, too.
Macarons are not the only option. Some customers have taken home pudding, while another said they order a character cake for each birthday. With cakes and baked treats also available, the shop is worth considering when you are choosing macarons, looking for a snack to enjoy at home or choosing a birthday cake.
